Important Updates

Each Day/evening we can follow this simple format. The meeting will begin with the blowing of the Shofar. Below are some aspects of worship and format for you to consider. These are merely suggestions as each person arrives into the 10 Days of Awe in a different place with GOD from a Spiritual perspective. Ask the Holy Spirit how HE would have you enter into the service and worship each day/evening.

Adoration: Describe GOD using HIS Word (the Bible), how HE has revealed HIMSELF to you, what HE means to you. The time of adoration is meant to take your eyes off of you and your problems, circumstances, fears, and failures, and to focus on the one that can change all of that. During adoration you are agreeing with about who GOD is! Repentance: This is the time to acknowledge that we are not where HE is. We are not where HE would desire for us to be. We are not living as HE has set out in HIS Word. It is a time to turn to GOD and align our ways with HIS ways, again agreeing with GOD. Intercession: After adoration and repentance we are in a better place to ask GOD for something. Pray as the Holy Spirit leads you to pray. Often the best prayers are using the language of GOD (Using the Bible to express yourself to GOD). The most effective prayers are the ones that are in full agreement with what GOD has promised to do for us through HIS Word. Meditation: Take time before you leave to reflect on what has taken place during the service. Focus on what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you and how you should respond to it. If you feel led to do so, share with others (either as a group, or a couple of people, or to an individual) how GOD is dealing with you, or what HE has shown you. You could share what HE has taught you as an encouragement to others. YOU ARE ON HOLY GROUND: The most important aspect of the day/evening is not the structure but the “Spirit”. Individuals should feel free to spontaneously initiate a song, read a scripture, share a testimony, move about the sanctuary, pray, or whatever the Holy Spirit prompts you to do. You may feel led to pray at various times during the meeting. You may pray standing, seated, on your knees, laying face down, at the altar, at your seat, or while walking around the sanctuary. The altar is open for prayer as needed. The cross is available if you would like to place (nail) something on it as a commitment to GOD. Anything left on the cross will be handled by the Pastor and will not be saved or read by anyone. It will be destroyed immediately after the service. The “Table of the LORD” (communion) will be available and can be used individually, or as a family. Ask for assistance from a Pastor or Elder if you would like guidance or to be served. Supplies for “Foot Washing” will be placed in the foyer if you feel led to take advantage of that powerful act that the LORD Jesus demonstrated on the night HE was arrested. Flags are available for use in the sanctuary and can be used at any time. Flags, ensigns, and banners were very much a part of worship and warfare during Bible times. If you have questions about the colors or how to use them feel free to ask, otherwise just do what the Holy Spirit leads you to do. The RETURN 10 Day Prayer Plan Beginning September. 18, 2020 Day One: A Ninevite Moment. Jonah 3:5 The Ninevites believed GOD. You may come and go as you desire during the day to watch the livestream, or you can watch it from home.  We will meet at 6 pm. We will decide if we want to participate in the evening livestream or meet as a group for Saturday night. Day Ten: For GOD’s people to seize a “Kairos” moment. Acts 4:29-30 And now, LORD, take note of their threats, and grant Your servants may speak your word with boldness… while signs and wonders take place through the name of Your Holy Servant Jesus. NOTE: This is SUNDAY night so we will begin at 6 pm.

Over the last several weeks we have incrementally added services. We are now offering Sunday School for all ages from 9:00 to 9:45, and Wednesday night services for all ages starting at 7 pm. The only remaining difference at this time is that we still provide social distancing on one side of the main sanctuary and non social distancing on the other side.

We did stop the live-stream of the Wednesday night adult classes when we started having “in person” meetings again.

NOTE: We continue to ask that if you are not comfortable with “in person” services or you have a condition that makes you more susceptible to the virus that you continue to worship with us via the Live-stream. We cannot provide for social distancing in the smaller Sunday School or Wednesday night classes/rooms.

Beginning June 21, 2020 we will once again begin to meet with just one service. That service time will be the traditional 10:00 service. We are keeping close tabs on the COVID-19 virus and will adjust our service as the conditions dictate. If you are not comfortable with returning to church at this time, or you have an underlying condition that puts you at risk, you are asked to remain home. The 10:00 service will be live-streamed.

Also during the 10:00 am service, one side of the church is reserved for folks that need to social distance. Every other row is blocked off. If you are not observing social distancing you are asked to sit on the side without the rows blocked off (even if that is not your normal seating area). We will be keeping a close eye on the seating needs and will adjust seating as needed.

It is our desire to provide a safe, enjoyable and most of all a good spiritual experience at church. The headlines for Florida seem to indicate another wave of COVID-19 has arrived but we are not monitoring headlines; we are monitoring the CDC specific information. While it is true the rate of positive infections are on the rise. It is our understanding that is because the rate of testing is on the rise. We are specifically monitoring the number of hospitalizations, and the death rate, both of which have changed very little recently. If there are significant changes we will adjust. Ultimately the choice is yours and you are strongly encouraged to do what you feel is best for you.
